The demand from the process industry for advanced technical communication solu-tions is showing the expected recovery. The Munich based business unit “Data Net-works”, part of Softing’s Industrial segment, is showing incoming orders for oil & gas specialty products of more than 2 million EUR in the first 30 days of the year. These binding purchase orders have been placed by customers who showed little to no demand in 2017. Softing expects further product and project orders in the upcoming months.
“The strong receipt of orders confirms our expectation that the process industry is entering a phase of economic recovery. Softing enjoys unique selling propositions in this market, resulting in a disproportionally high contribution to the profit“, says Wolf-gang Trier, CEO of Softing AG.
Almost all of these products will be shipped in the second half of 2018 due to long lead times for industry specific electronic parts, components and housings.
